Head of the doctoral distance learning course in Psychology (f/m/d)

Part time or full time.

AIHE GmbH offers master’s degree courses. AIHE develops English-language master’s degree courses on behalf of and in partnership with international universities. AIHE supports the accreditation of the degree courses and delivers the degree courses with its own teaching staff. Students are enrolled in the partner universities and receive their master’s degree from them. In 2021, AIHE will also be offering doctoral degree courses in collaboration with a partner university. All degree courses are 100% conducted via distance learning and are completely remote.

We are therefore looking for an individual with a PhD in Psychology to join us as soon as possible. The Head of PhD-programme will work here and support us in the development of further study programmes. Tasks will include:

Designing a new English-speaking PhD course for online learning (Dr of Psychology) as well as additional master’s degree courses in Psychology (induction is guaranteed).

– Development in a small team, from English-speaking Psychology PhD distance learning courses as well as distance learning master’s degree courses from scratch
-Researching the fundamental literature / development of the research elements
– Development of examinations and evaluation criteria whilst adhering to the required learning goals

– Adherence to quality standards
– Leading the PhD degree course

Partnerships with partner universities
– Support with English language negotiations with our partner university in the initiation and implementation phase. You are the interface between the partner university and ALP in all significant matters.

Administration of the institutional approval and course accreditation
– Conformity with the academic regulations of the partner institutions
– An induction is guaranteed

-Recruitment of doctoral supervisors
– Recruitment of freelance lecturers
– Application process for potential PhD candidates

You work closely together with our Managing Director and a junior psychologist in the team and want to allow the small start-up company to grow together with a great team.

Your profile
You hold a PhD in Psychology and are familiar with a variety of research methods. A doctorate is a prerequisite for this vacancy.

If possible, you contribute the following experience, knowledge and abilities:

– Experience in developing degree course programmes including the accreditation process
-Business-fluent in English
– High level of creativity and flexibility

2 PhD psychologists (m/f/d)

AIHE is an innovative pioneer and the first provider of 100% distance learning courses (fully remote) in Germany. Following four years of experience and optimisation of all working processes, AIHE is striving for significant growth for 2020 and 2021. Other institutes of higher education/universities will be collaborating with AIHE, meaning that our offer will soon be expanded to include several master’s degree courses and PhD programmes. For this expansion, we require a self-motivated psychologist (or social scientist, sociologist – PhD a plus).

You will be working in a very warm and helpful team. And for our expansion, we require mentally flexible, creative PhD psychologists with attention to detail. This position is also suitable for those starting out in their career.

Your tasks:

  1. Leading a year group (incl. student support)
  2. Assessment of degree course and examination achievement
  3. Deployment of teaching staff
  4. Coordination of all administrative activities
  5. Point of contact for our partner universities in Vienna and London
  6. Support for designing master’s degree courses in the specialist area of psychology, communication
  7. In some cases you will give lectures or lead webinars from time to time

Your qualifications and skills:

    You are a psychologist (or economic psychologist, pedagogue, social scientist, sociologist), PhD required
  1. You express yourself very well orally and in written form
  2. Very good knowledge of English
  3. This role is also suitable for entry-level candidates if the prerequisites are fulfilled.
