AIHE Academic Institute for Higher Education
The AIHE GmbH is an institute for international higher education and has been offering academic continuing education on behalf of state and international universities since 2006.
On March 15, 2026, the founder, Prof. Dr. Andrea Gensel, transferred the ownership of the institute to Constellation Academy. Constellation Academy is an established, growth-oriented education group with a clear commitment to quality, a strong strategic focus, and significant synergies across its institutions.
Through its advanced Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, AIHE professionally combines academic knowledge with practical application, placing particular emphasis on real-world relevance. Students often realise in their day-to-day work which theoretical concepts are already at play-often unconsciously-and learn to act more deliberately, effectively, and with a scientific basis.
With an average age of 44, diverse global backgrounds, and around 50% in leadership roles, AIHE students bring valuable practical experience to their studies-enriching not only the learning experience, but also the daily work of the AIHE team.
What Makes AIHE Unique?
AIHE collaborates with national and international universities and higher education institutions, supporting them in the development and delivery of continuing education distance learning programmes. Students are enrolled at the respective partner institution, which also awards the academic degree. Quality assurance is carried out in close consultation with the respective partner institution.
As part of these partnerships, AIHE provides conceptual, organisational and financial support for the degree programmes. This includes, in particular, the provision of teaching and learning resources, student support, and the assessment of examination results and final theses. All processes are carried out in accordance with the guidelines, quality standards and academic regulations of the respective partner university. Academic authority remains with the partner university, which validates the degree programmes and ensures compliance with its quality requirements and academic standards.
