I was appointed to the management board on 1 January 2026 and am very pleased about this. Previously, I managed and was responsible for all the degree programmes that we offer in collaboration with our partner universities. Today, I continue to work with my colleagues to ensure a high level of customer/student satisfaction and am also responsible for accreditations. On this page, I would like to introduce our team to you.
Founder and Advisor
Prof. Dr. Andrea Gensel is the founder of AIHE and will continue to support me and the holding company as an advisor. After eight years of collaboration, Ms. Gensel appointed me to the management board. She has led the company and the entire team with great experience and warmth.

A legend in our midst. It is a great honour for me that Prof. Schulz von Thun stands behind me and my team, is an advocate for the Master’s degree course, advises us and contributes his communication expertise. So popular and successful and at the same time so humble.

Annegret Reski has been part of our team for 15 years. She holds a doctorate in communication and has extensive professional experience as a lecturer. From aptitude diagnostics to personnel management and communication psychology, she covers all areas of specialisation. Her calm, level-headed voice makes her interesting lectures a cosy learning experience. She is our professor of the heart.

Prof. Dr. Wolbers is Professor for Aging, Cognition & Technology at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). He uses neuroscience and virtual reality (VR) to understand mechanisms of healthy aging and dementia and develops therapeutic VR applications to improve the treatment of mental disorders.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Baur is Director of the Department of Criminology, Juvenile Criminal Law and Penology and holds the Chair of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law of Georg August University in Göttingen. He has been Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Law since 2025. His research focuses on sanctions and penal law (in particular, corrective measures) and its legal implications, corporate sanctions law in relation to criminal procedure and criminological principles (economic criminology), and general crime prevention law. In addition, he specialises in law-related evaluation research.

Prof. Bschor teaches in the field of psychopharmacology for us. He is a specialist in psychiatry in Berlin, carrying out research and teaching in various specialist fields, e.g. therapy-resistant depression, bipolar affective disorder, long term prophylaxis of affective diseases, addictions, especially alcohol, drug and medication dependence.

Prof. Dr. Scheel is an expert in business and organizational psychology. Working as a freelance coach, she also has her finger on the pulse of practice. She is fascinated by the role of humor in the work context.

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Gisch is Professor of Nutritional Psychology at Justus Liebig University in Giessen. Her work focuses on healthy eating habits, family and food, eating disorders and weight problems, and sustainable nutrition.

Prof. Steffens is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, social medicine with the corresponding further training authorisations in these fields. After working elsewhere in a managerial capacity and as an expert and state policy advisor, he has been Chief Physician at the Hohe Mark Clinic in Oberursel/Taunus and Frankfurt am Main since 2018. He has been researching and teaching in the field of mental health at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz since 2017 after a good six years in Nordhausen.

Uwe Seebacher is one of the world's most recognised and leading experts in methodology and structural science, with over 30 years' experience as an author, investor, professor and speaker. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration and is a professor at several institutions, including Munich University of Applied Sciences, Vienna University of Applied Sciences, IIM Shillong and IMT Dubai, in areas such as Predictive Intelligence, Marketing, Communication, Data Science and Sales & Distribution Management.

Prof. Dr. Stueber is a philosopher who teaches at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts (USA). He is internationally well-known for his scholarship on empathy and has widely published in the areas of philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, the philosophy of the social sciences, and meta-ethics. At the moment, he is exploring the role of empathy for the foundations of morality. Professor Stueber grew up in Flensburg, Germany, and received his Ph.D. from the Unversity of Tübingen.

His teaching and research areas include communication in social media, digital transformation and digital society, science, technology and health communication, as well as misinformation, disinformation and conspiracy theories in public communication.

Prof Dr Bernd Leplow is Professor Emeritus of Clinical Psychology, Biopsychology and Neuropsychology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. He is a licensed behavioural therapist and clinical neuropsychologist (GNP). Following his membership of the board of directors of the Medical-Ethics-Law (MER) programme at the University of Halle, he continues to give lectures and seminars there.

Prof Dr Schädler is Professor of Sex Education at the Medical School Berlin. He works on the interfaces between sexuality, media, politics and education. In the field of sexual education, there is also the interesting problem of scientific theory of the extent to which the necessary neutrality can be productively combined with the always subjective attitude towards the topic.

Prof. Dr. Wasserka-Zhurakhovska holds a degree in economics (University of Bonn), completed her doctorate as a scholarship holder of the Max Planck Society at the University of Cologne and is currently working at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Furthermore, she is a member of the Junior Faculty of the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ). In her research, she deals with questions of behavioural economics with a focus on individual and group behaviour.

Prof. Nanette Ströbele-Benschop is Professor of Nutritional Psychology at the University of Hohenheim. Her specialist focus is on the influence of internal and external factors on our eating behavior, which play a role in the development of obesity and the prevention of non-communicable diseases in particular.

Prof Dr Rainer Rupprecht is Medical Director and Chair of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Regensburg. He conducts research into novel principles for the treatment of depression and anxiety.

After completing his community service in a psychiatric clinic and working in a home for the disabled, Prof Dr Kasten studied psychology at the Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel. Erich Kasten is a qualified behavioural therapist and clinical neuropsychologist and works part-time in his own practice in Travemünde. He received his doctorate summa cum laude from the Martin Luther University in Halle in 1993. In 1999 he qualified as a professor and received the venia legendi for medical psychology. Erich Kasten was Professor of Neuropsychology and Research Methodology at the MSH Medical School Hamburg from April 2013 to September 2023.

Prof. Dr. Roland Mangold is a habilitated psychologist and professor of information and communication psychology. He teaches and conducts research on the user-centered design of information media. With AIHE, he introduces the field of media psychology in comprehensible lectures.

Prof. Dr. John McAlaney is a Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Scientist who conducts research into how and why people become involved in risky behaviours, including cybercrime, online gambling, and the production and consumption of fake news. Adrian Felske, MSc in Psychology, has been part of the Academic Institute since 2023. As a Course Manager and Module Coordinator, he supports students throughout their studies and guides them toward successful degree completion. In Student Advisory Services, he advises prospective students on selecting the appropriate degree programme and study format. He is also involved in application management, supporting applicants throughout the admissions process.

Benita Bohm completed her Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Hamburg and has been part of the Academic Institute since early 2023. She started working in the Development department and on the Afterwork Campus. Today, her focus is on supervising and organising study programmes as a Course Manager and Module Leader. In this role, she provides ongoing support to students throughout their studies and ensures structured support right through to graduation. In addition, she is actively involved in student advisory services.
