Dr Schultz studied sports science, psychology and educational science (master’s degree) as well as German and sport (teacher training) at the University of Giessen. He has been a research assistant at the Institute of Sports Science at the University of Tübingen since 2008. He completed his doctorate in 2013, for which he was honoured with the German Football Association’s Science Award in 2016.
