… you prefer learning in a close-knit class setting and need regular contact with fellow students. Then this concept may be less suitable for you.
It requires a high degree of self-responsibility: you will receive core literature and video recordings and design your own learning path independently.
If you have questions or difficulties, your course managers are always available to support you—with time management, motivation slumps, or academic issues. However, you need to actively reach out, as we do not want to be intrusive.
At this point, we ask you to carefully consider whether this concept is the right fit for you. If you are not satisfied, neither are we.
Your satisfaction is so important to us that we encourage you to reflect on whether you are Type A or Type B.
Type A: You learn independently and autonomously, without relying on fellow students or instructors. If you need advice, tips, motivation, or expertise, you take the initiative and reach out to AIHE staff, who are available 32 hours a week and happy to assist you.
Type B: You prefer learning in close connection with fellow students and in groups. You tend to be more passive or reserved and expect AIHE staff to reach out to you, asking what you need and how they can support you.
If you identify as Type B, please consider carefully whether you will feel comfortable with us.
All AIHE programmes are specially designed for executives, self-employed professionals, and employees with significant responsibilities—people who want to learn freely and independently.
Independent from us. Independent from fellow students.
Free in scheduling and free from mandatory attendance requirements.
Learn when, where, and with whom you want — just not “what” you want. This self-directed study gives you the choice to seek support if you wish. AIHE staff are available 32 hours a week, but many students prefer to study independently.
Whether you have 40 or 5 fellow students, group size doesn’t matter. For networking, there’s the “Happy Hour” — a Zoom meeting held three weeks after the semester starts. It’s optional — join if you want, there is no pressure.
Before your studies begin, you will receive all exam assignments and complete learning materials to help you plan effectively.
Assessment relevant: Approximately 250 pages of text and 3–5 video lectures per module, from which you will prepare your assessment.
Additionally: 500 live online lectures from experts worldwide — choose 10 according to your interests.
At AIHE, there is no mandatory attendance, but over 500 live lectures per year with renowned psychology experts from around the world.
The lectures are held in German and English and offer the opportunity for interaction after each session.
You decide which 6–10 lectures to attend—or take advantage of the entire offering.
