Simon Duncker is writing a dissertation in sociology called “The Modern Order of Freedom to Die”. In it, he combines an analysis of power according to Michel Foucault with a modern history of the sciences of suicide. He is funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation and works as an author and editor in Berlin.
