Dr Alexander Diel heads the ‘AI and mental health’ working group at the LVR Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in Essen. He is investigating the benefits, hurdles and acceptance of new media (artificial intelligence, virtual reality, social robots, digital humans) for mental health and their potential applications in psychotherapy.
