Study at one of the most renowned universities in Great Britain
London Metropolitan University is one of the largest and oldest universities in England. Since it was founded in 1848, it has been striving to improve life in society through education. It also has the support of the Royal Family in this endeavour. In 1850, Prince Albert took over the patronage of London MET. This honourable tradition has been upheld until now, with the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, becoming a patron in 2013.
In addition to this impressive number of royal patrons, London Metropolitan University also has a history of producing many famous alumni. Their ranks include the current mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, the BAFTA-winning director Noel Clarke and the famous lawyer Shaun Wallace.
Modern teaching and research in the heart of Great Britain: London Metropolitan University
The eight faculties of the university offer a very broad spectrum, with degree courses in the fields of humanities, education, law and social sciences, medicine and natural sciences. We were particularly impressed by the outstanding provision offered by the psychology department, developed in collaboration with partners such as the British Psychological Society .
London Metropolitan University sums up its mission for the future with the phrase “Changing lives through the power of education”. The University not only wishes to make a cultural, social and economic contribution, it also wants to actively promote local and international social change. This is also reflected in the values of the University.
